Why am I getting an "Error must be connected to device" issue with the Kestrel LiNK Ballistics app?

Even though it shows connected, something is interfering with this connection. To troubleshoot:

  1. Ensure app permissions are set in your phone's app settings
  2. Reboot your phone
  3. Do a reset on the Kestrel. Take out battery, hold down power for 30 seconds, put battery back in
  4. Try reconnecting to the Kestrel Ballistics app
